Be a Role Model

In January 2008, I was asked to turn around the worst performing team as a peer leader.

I had zero leadership experience.

Zero training.

The economy was about to enter the worst recession in years.

Businesses were shutting down left and right.

There was massive uncertainty and fear on the team.

I literally had no idea what I was doing.

I definitely made a ton of mistakes.

I was incredibly scared of failing.

BUT regardless of all that, I was unwavering in…

✅Being POSITIVE.

✅Taking massive ACTION.

✅Leading by EXAMPLE.

I didn’t know what to do but I wanted to be a ROLE MODEL for my team.

As a result, we were #1 after 6 months.

In times of uncertainty like today, one of the most important roles we can play is to be a ROLE MODEL for others.

Regardless of your title, we can all be a pillar of strength.
