Michael Phelp’s Pre-Race Routine And…Sales

Michael Phelps is the most decorated Olympian in our history with 28 medals.

Before each race he does the following:

-Eats a race day breakfast of eggs, oatmeal, and 4 energy shakes.

-A systematic targeted stretching routine at the pool focusing on different muscle groups.

-Swims 2000+ meters to get warmed up.

-Puts on his racing suit.

-Listens to hip hop music to get amped.

-Stretches behind the blocks before his race.

-DOMINATES.

It’s the same routine EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Why is this important?

This strategy PRIMES his mind to focus on the race.

His races are won BEFORE he even gets to the pool.

You may not be a swimmer.

That’s ok.

But what’s your “big race” you are looking to win?

Perhaps it’s a #coldcalling session.

If you want to CRUSH your phone session, how are PRIMING your mind before you even pick the phone up?

Here are a few easy tips:

1. Eat a proper breakfast-being hungry while dialing is no fun!

2. Roleplay 10X with a peer your first few dials! Get warmed up!

3. Stretch and move to get the blood flowing before you dial!

4. Etc, etc., etc.!

The point is that if you want to be the “Michael Phelps” of Sales, it starts with properly priming your mind!
