“Do I have what it takes to be successful?”-Me😭
It was July 2007 and I was one month into my first outside sales job.
I had seen ZERO success.
I was filled with self-doubt😖
I questioned my own ability to do the job😔
I thought back to how my parents gave me a hard time for turning down the banking job two months ago that paid 2X what I was earning.
Being a disappointment to myself.
I was miserable😖
Then I came across a quote:
“I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward”-Thomas Edison.
It was in Tony Robbin’s book “Awaken The Giant Within.
It was a perspective shift💡
A better way of thinking.
As a result, better actions were taken.
I was viewing every “no” personally and it was impacting every call after.
I shifted my thinking to viewing every “no” was a step forward.
I chased after “no’s” like an animal and took note of what I learned from it.
2 months later I was no. 1.
The only thing that changed was my perspective.
The perspective changed the actions I was taking.
The actions led to better results.
So if you want to improve your #sales game, start with your perspective!
Do you agree?
